Support McGuffey · Read-a-Thon
Two weeks of LOTS of reading.
For two weeks each spring, McGuffey students take part in an all-school Read-a-Thon, and sponsors support our reading program across every classroom.

The fun part
Mystery readers, gnomes, and pizza.
The Read-a-Thon involves LOTS of reading, mystery readers who read to each class, visits from Reade the Gnome, and garden gnomes who move around the classrooms at night. We celebrate at the end with an all-school pizza party.
Friends and family can donate through PayPal or send in cash or a check. Parents can also donate through TADS by emailing the office. To donate through PayPal, our account uses donations@mcguffeymontessori.com. Please note the name of the student(s) you are sponsoring.
By sponsoring a McGuffey reader, you support our reading program across all the classrooms. All donations to McGuffey’s Read-a-Thon are tax deductible.
There is no cheaper or more effective way to develop learner autonomy. Reading is, by its very nature, a private, individual activity. It can be done anywhere, at any time of day.
A lifelong love of learning begins at McGuffey.
We would love to meet your family. Book a tour and see what makes the McGuffey learning experience unique.
