Celebrating the differences among us.
Our community is exuberant, nourishing, and empowering, due in large part to the differences among us. Differences among students, families, and faculty enrich our human experience in untold ways. Celebrating differences in the classroom allows students to express, and eventually define, their whole self.
Content builds on the rich Upper Elementary curriculum and extends beyond what might typically be taught in these grades: genetics, physics, and world history, to name a few.

Math for every need
Middle School mathematics adapts to all needs, including traditional Algebra, Honors Algebra, and Honors Geometry.
Organizational skills
Tracking and prioritizing assignments, managing time, taking notes, writing short answers and essays, and editing and evaluating one’s own work.
Abstract reasoning
Our small size helps each child learn to interpret information, formulate questions, express ideas, and apply knowledge to new situations.
On stage
Middle Schoolers star in the leading roles of our school-wide annual musical, and often put on a play based on classroom content.
Field trips and traditions
Trips to natural areas around Oxford and to museums, a “late night” at school, and preparing a meal for Upper Elementary students and staff.
A thoughtful hybrid
A blend of Montessori and traditional principles, including grading, online assignments, and testing, prepares students for success in any high school.
