What we emphasize
Independence
These little people are capable of huge things. Appropriately scaled furniture, sinks, tools, and supplies let each child get what they need when they need it, building confidence and countless “I can do it myself!” moments.
Hands-on learning
Virtually every experience involves touching, manipulating, thinking, and doing. Children this age learn best through active, sensory experiences, so we provide many channels to build a solid foundation of knowledge.
The importance of work
In Montessori, what a child does each day is called “work,” out of respect. Whether learning letters, building a block tower, or digging in the sandbox, it matters deeply to the child, and we honor it.
A prepared environment
Each day a child chooses their work. Every activity lays the foundation for reading, writing, math, science, geography, history, cultural awareness, physical fitness, and the arts.
A community of respect
Each child should feel safe to grow, learn, and explore. Respect, courtesy, cooperation, problem-solving, and negotiation are critical, between students and between teacher and student.

Our Primary Extended Day program offers after-school care until 5:30pm for PreK and Kindergarten.
