Every fall, our SOAR running program is both a fundraiser and a Physical Education activity that promotes walking, running, and goal setting.
A foot charm for every mile
How SOAR works
Set a goal, then go for it.
Students set a goal for their own mileage, then run or walk during recess for two weeks. They collect a “foot” charm for each mile to add to their SOAR necklace.
Friends and family can donate through PayPal or send in cash or a check. Parents can also donate through TADS by emailing the office. To donate through PayPal, our account uses donations@mcguffeymontessori.com. Please note the name of the student(s) you are sponsoring.
By making a SOAR donation, you are supporting our capital fund to develop our playground and enhance our outdoor spaces. All donations to McGuffey for SOAR are tax deductible.
